Arrival: City of Lights

After nearly twelve hours of travel we arrived in Paris yesterday exhausted but excited!

The flights and transfers went smoothly...aside from a minor delay at security at Heathrow. Jess and I made a mad dash for the plane and got to to the gate just in time. Our hotel is nice and out of the way. The girls are four to a room but the rooms are large. We spent yesterday afternoon exploring the Latin Quarter. We caught our first glimpse of the Eiffel Tower and Norte Dame and will return today to explore. Our first French meal, duck, was less than successful. But as always dessert made up for it..gooey chocolate cake!

Today, we start the day with a bus tour of the city before heading to the Louvre and Notre Dame. We learned yesterday that two of the elevators at the Eiffel Tower are broken and we'll have to walk up. Luckily, these Fisher girls have lots of practice with stairs!
