Here we come!

Wow! This year has flown by and in just a few short days I'll be taking my students on the journey of a lifetime. For a fashion student to travel to Paris is beyond words. Their entire educational experience in focused on this city.

Since the 18th century it has been revered as the Fashion Capital! It's where Louis XIV, Madame de Pompadour, Marie Antoinette, Napoleon and Josephine, Empress Eugenie, Gabrielle Chanel, Elsa Schiaparelli, Cristobal Balenciaga, and Madeleine Vionnet roamed and where today you just might catch a glimpse of Karl Lagerfeld in Collette (as Katiti was lucky enough to do).

We have lots to look forward to; iconic sights like the Eiffel Tour, the Mona Lisa, Versailles, and the castles of the Loire Valley. Not to mention, the food! I drool just thinking about the first macaron to hit my lips....Laduree, here we come! Pear gelato from Berthillon has been calling my name. I have not been to Paris since 2009 but I can still taste it.

I am excited to sit in cafe's and watch the world go by. In Paris, it's a very well dressed world, ripe for people watching, and I can be entertained for hours. I'm too excited to sleep!
